The Position

Job Title: Student Assistant – Web Archives

Location/Department: Seattle – Special Collections

Rate: $21.30/hr

Hours: 10/week; Tuesdays and Fridays
Expected duration: 10 weeks

Duties

  • Search and compare archived web sites against local archival collections via a GUI interface. Will need to switch between a spreadsheet, ArchiveSpace and Internet Archive to complete this task.
  • Perform QA on web sites currently being crawled to ensure that the site has not ceased to exist since web crawling was implemented. Track progress in a spreadsheet.

Required Qualifications

  • Facility with searching and analyzing websites, and data entry.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with spreadsheets.
