Near the end of the academic year, UW Libraries virtually hosted the 6th annual GIS Symposium. The GIS Symposium highlights and celebrates the transformational role of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, and data visualization technologies at the UW and beyond. Pride Month is celebrated each year in the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan. Negeen Aghassibake, a Data Visualization Librarian with UW Libraries, was selected as a 2022 LEADING Fellow, a program focused on data science in library & information studies.
