Public Access
Know Before You Go:
Most UW Libraries are open to the public with the exception of Odegaard Undergraduate, Health Sciences, and Gallagher Law Libraries* that have specific requirements for entry (see location web pages for details). Those with UW Libraries borrowers cards are able to request items from these locations for pick-up at UW Libraries public locations.
Hours differ between locations. Check hours ahead of time to plan your visit.
*The Gallagher Law Library is administered by the Law School, separate from UW Libraries.

K-12 Visits
Welcome students and teachers! To schedule a visit, including for History Day please first review the visitor guide to learn more about preparation request form. Note: Visits during the first 2 and last 2 weeks of the quarter are not allowed (view UW Academic Calendar).
