Leslie Hurst is the Interim Associate Dean of University Libraries and Interim Co-Director of the University of Washington Bothell Library/Cascadia College Library.

Leslie Hurst has worked at the UW Bothell / Cascadia College Library since 1999 in various roles, including over 14 years as the humanities librarian and the Head of Teaching and Learning. She received her MLIS from the University of Washington’s iSchool in 2003.

Leslie has written and presented on information literacy instruction; assessment of student learning; information literacy curriculum, program design, and assessment; and artist’s books and comic books in libraries.

She has led and participated in various Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) committees, including the Immersion Program Committee and the 2009 and 2011 ACRL National Conference Planning Committees. She has also served as a peer reviewer for Communications in Information Literacy since 2017 and spent two years on the Evidence Based Library and Information Practice journal’s Evidence Summaries Team.

Leslie has been recognized with the 2011 ACRL Community and Junior College section’s EBSCO Community College Learning Resources Program Achievement Award, and the 2018 University of Washington Distinguished Librarian Award.
