  • ArcGIS StoryMaps
    • Create inspiring, immersive stories by combining text, interactive maps, and other multimedia content, and quickly and easily share your map with others.


  • Manifold
    • Share your research openly or build a critical edition or digital book with your class using Manifold, a digital book publishing software. Manifold can also be used to gather feedback on drafts of a text through annotations or can allow you to share conference proceedings with broad audiences.


  • Omeka
    • Collect, describe, and share research images and artifacts in this easy-to-use platform; it’s like your very own virtual museum!


  • Pressbooks
    • A free, easy, and professional self-publishing platform to create an open textbook or other open online course resource.

      • Preserve your original work in University of Washington’s institutional repository.

          • WordPress makes it easy to organize a wide range of content including oral histories, video and more.



        Introduction to Omeka Workshop

        Organize your collection of images and create your own online exhibits using Omeka! This workshop will introduce you to the basics of adding items to Omeka, creating collections of images, and putting them in conversation with one another through exhibits.

        Explore Manifold, a digital book publishing platform that incorporates media, visualizations, and more into your text. You’ll walk away from this workshop with your own text or a public domain text of your choice loaded into Manifold and understanding of how to seamlessly annotate a Manifold text with text and media.
