Connecting to OSC Collaboration Corner Audio/Visual Equipment

Collaboration Corner is a space where you can connect to a screen to present your work and/or play audio. This space is not hybrid capable and not appropriate for zoom meetings.

Connecting to the screen to display content

  1. Go to the Suzzallo Information Desk and check out the Collaboration Corner kit.
  2. Plug in the HDMI cord to the laptop and the other cord into the wall next to the screen. Adapters are available as part of the Collaboration Corner kit if you need them.
  3. Set your laptop on the counter and connect your HDMI cord to the wall.
  4. Use the remote from the kit to select between HDMI 1 and 2. Your laptop should be connected and displayed on the screen.
  5. When finished, please use the remote to switch back to the other HDMI source and leave the slides playing.

Troubleshooting

If you have trouble connecting your laptop from HDMI to HDMI, try using an adapter in the Collaboration Corner kit to connect the laptop to USB-C to the HDMI cord. This workaround has helped connect to the display on some laptops that don’t automatically connect with just the HDMI cord.
