Duties
- Shelve, shift, and locate library materials for patron use.
- Staff public service desks, providing quality customer service.
- Check books, equipment, and technology in and out for patron use at the Circulation & Service Desks.
- Provides users with information about library policies, services, and procedures.
- Assist patrons by answering directional and informational questions.
- Uses the library catalog to perform basic bibliographic searches.
- Processes document delivery and interlibrary loan requests by scanning materials.
- Prepare outgoing mail, process incoming mail, and library materials for Inter-library Loan.
- Assists staff in closing the library across two buildings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled UW student.
- Able to work until closing for each quarter employed.
- Able to work independently.
- Pays attention to detail.
- Punctual.
- Able to lift up to 40lbs
- Ability to perform routine tasks.
- Able to commit to agreed-upon work schedule.
- Must be able to work during finals week.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills.
- Work study award strongly desired.
