About
The UW Libraries High School Internship is a fun, project-based program for people who will be First-Generation college students or for people who will be the first in their family to go to college in the United States.
Students in the program experience college life, learn about the college application process, learn about college libraries, and make digital stories and interactive digital maps. An interest in librarianship is not a requirement, but it’s a plus!
- When: August 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, and 28 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm each day. Lunch will be from 12:00-1:00 pm in a dining hall.
- What: Work on digital storytelling with videos, podcasts, and digital maps and learn a ton about the University of Washington and the college application process.
- Where: The University of Washington Libraries on the UW, Seattle, campus. The internship is best suited for students living within or near the Seattle/King County area. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from campus each day.
