Data management plans and funder requirements

Data reference services

  • Finding or acquiring data

Persistent Identifiers

  • Registering your data for digital object identifiers (DOI) via DataCite to help you reference your own work in publications and allow others to cite your objects
  • Creating persistent snapshots of webpages at a moment in time via PermaCC

Raises awareness of digital scholarship on campus and connects faculty, staff, and students with the assistance needed at any point during a digital scholarship project.

GIS logo

Geospatial Data Resources Guide

Collection of digital geospatial data for research and educational use. Mainly focuses on the Puget Sound and State of Washington areas, but also contains national and international datasets.

A depository for publications from the U.S. government, Canada, the United Nations, the European Union and the State of Washington.

Data Resources in the Health Sciences

This guide provides an introduction to the world of data in the health sciences, including links to several health sciences-related repositories.

Map Collection

The Map Collection includes over 270,000 map sheets, 86,000 aerial photographs, and 2,000 atlases. It also includes electronic mapping products and digital geospatial data for use with GIS software.

Research Commons

A collaborative environment to connect with fellow students and faculty on research projects, with spaces to facilitate workshop, presentation, and discovery. A suite of services are also provided, including help with citation management, design (including data visualization), writing consultation, graduate funding information, and digital scholarship projects.

      Simpson Center for the Humanities | Digital Humanities

      The Simpson Center supports the rapidly growing field of digital humanities through a broad range of programming. This includes an array of scholarship, such as: integrating computer technologies with humanities research, using computational tools to retrieve, analyze, and visually represent data, and exploring the historical, social, aesthetic, and cross-cultural implications of digital cultures.

      An independent global health research center at the University of Washington that provides rigorous and comparable measurement of the world’s most important health problems and evaluates the strategies used to address them. IHME makes this information freely available so that policymakers have the evidence they need to make informed decisions about how to allocate resources to best improve population health.

      Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology

      Supports population research and training at the University of Washington. CSDE also functions as a regional center that gives population scientists at affiliated institutions in the Pacific Northwest access to cutting-edge demographic infrastructure and services.
