Joseph and Jill McKinstry Libraries Endowed Fellowship
UW Libraries offers a unique fellowship to MLIS students at the iSchool that combines a scholarship with a paid work experience in the University Libraries system. The successful fellow receives a scholarship and an assignment in a University Libraries unit(s) based on the recipient's interests.


Internships allow selected candidates to further their education in a hands on setting. When offered, internships may be open nationally, or restricted to select educational programs. Open Librarian Positions

Medicine and Research Services Librarian
Notice of Vacancy November 23, 2022. Applications received through Interfolio by 8:59 p.m. PST/11:59 p.m. EST on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, will receive priority review. Applications received after this date will be reviewed on a rolling biweekly basis at the discretion of the unit. Rank of Assistant Librarian or Senior Assistant Librarian.

Classified and Professional Staff Positions

Borrowing and Summit Specialist
This position performs complex public service and technical duties with key focus on the facilitation of Summit borrowing and lending and Interlibrary Borrowing for the University Libraries. CLoses December 5, 2022.
Learning Commons and Access Services Manager
This position at the Tacoma campus library provides overall management and policy guidance for the access services unit. Open until filled.
Humanities and Special Collections Cataloger
Under general supervision of the Head, Monographic Cataloging Unit, this position performs original and complex copy cataloging and classification in book and non-book formats, primarily in the fine arts, humanities, and special collections, using specialized knowledge of cataloging rules and standards. You will also contribute to the formulation of policies and procedures for bibliographic control and access to monographs. Closes December 1, 2022
Outreach and Access Coordinator
This position with the Regional Medical Library (National Network of Libraries of Medicine) is part of a collaborative team delivering outreach and educational programming, in addition to supporting other services of the NNLM, to promote access to and sharing of biomedical and health information resources.
