Duties
- Create and review XSLT-based transformation code between MARC21 and RDA/LRM.
- Develop and publish local RDF vocabularies.
- Attend project-based meetings.
- Create or contribute to documentation of workflows.
- Coding tasks.
- XSLT, Python are the main programming languages used.
- Data transformations.
- Entity lookups across datasets De-duplication in medium-sized datasets.
- Create and document metadata application profiles.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with at least one coding language.
- Some awareness of library data models, especially MARC and RDA
- Interest in metadata.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to code in XSLT and Python.
- Experience with linked data.
- Ability to use SPARQL to query RDF data.
- Experience cataloging library resources.
- Awareness of Official RDA (the new RDA rules).
- Eagerness to learn new skills and technologies as needed.
