Photographs & Drawings

The photographs and drawings used in the Camp Harmony exhibit come from two locations: Special Collections Division of the UW Libraries and the Museum of History and Industry. Eddie Sato Drawings


Sato is an artist who grew up in Seattle. While an inmate at the Puyallup Assembly Center, he served as staff artist on the Camp Harmony News Letter and sketched scenes of daily life. A sketchbook came to the Libraries via Frank Miyamoto in 1975, and eight pen and ink drawings were donated by the artist in 1996.

Howard Clifford Photographs


Clifford was a news photographer with the Tacoma News Tribune. These photographs are available in Special Collections.

Museum of History and Industry Photographs
