For CONTENT versions 2.x there are only three choices for Data Type: “Text,” “Date,” or “Boolean.” As far as the UW Libraries has been able to determine, CONTENT stores and searches all fields as keyworded free text. Changing the setting for Data Type seems to make no difference. We have been using “Date,” however, for date fields, just in case this should change. We don’t know what “Boolean” means in this context and have not been using it.
