This lively and dynamic environment serves as the center for undergraduate instruction, learning, and technology. The library opened in 1972, and is named after University of Washington President Emeritus Charles E. Odegaard, its mission, to meet the information needs of undergraduate students in a large university environment. The library was renovated in 2013 and recognized for the 2014 American Institute of Architects (AIA) Institute Honor Awards for Interior Architecture.
